Top 5 Productivity Tips

Do you ever feel like there aren’t enough hours in the day? Are you reaching your goals or just going through the motions? It can be difficult to focus on what matters most when you're feeling overwhelmed.

That's why we created these simple yet effective productivity tips so you will always know what to do next. But first, you'll need a daily planner and a weekly planner to help you organise your life.

Luckily for you, Calendar Club already has the perfect planners to help you to get ready for 2023. We have an assortment of daily planners and weekly planners with a variety of layouts and styles for you to choose from.

Whether you're looking for ways to improve your productivity at work or at school, these five simple steps will help you get started.

1. Plan Your Week or Month with a Planner

Start by choosing a planner that fits your lifestyle. There is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to planning. Some people prefer a monthly planner while others prefer a weekly planner. The choice depends on the task and how much time you have to spend on it. If you only have 30 minutes per week to complete tasks, then a monthly planner might be more suitable so that you can split an overarching goal over several weeks. However, if your tasks don't require much time, or you don't have many tasks to focus on, then you can fit them into your weekly planner

2. Set Daily Tasks in Your Daily Planner

If you want to get more done, then you need to set a daily goal that is realistic but challenging. You don't have to aim high if you don't want to, but setting an achievable goal will help you stay motivated throughout the day. Start your day by writing down three to five goals. These could be things like 'write this blog post', 'do my taxes' or 'go for a run'. Make sure these are not too ambitious so that they won't be overwhelming. If you're struggling with what to write down, try using the SMART method (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time-bound). For example, you might write down something like: 'hang up the laundry before 12.

3. Allocate Your Tasks to Time Slots

The first thing you should do when you get into the office is to allocate time slots for each task and prioritise them in order of importance. Doing so will help you stay focused and ensure you are using your time effectively.

4. Stay Focused

Now that you've written out your daily tasks and allocated a time slot to each, it's time to focus on one task at a time. If you have two or more things going on in the same window, you're not really focusing on any of them. You may be able to get away with this for a while, but eventually, you'll find that you're not being as productive as you could be.

If you can't seem to focus on just one thing at a time, try keeping your daily planner out on your desk in front of you. This will be your visual reminder of all the tasks you want to complete for the day.

5. Do Short Sprints With Breaks in Between

Everyone has a different attention span, but for most people, it's impossible to stay completely focused on a task for longer than 45 minutes at a time.

This is why you should break up your tasks into smaller sprints that are easier to complete in one sitting. This could be anywhere from 25 to 45 minutes long. Dedicate your attention to staying focused on a specific task for a specific length of time and plan to take a short five-minute break afterwards. Taking a break helps to reset your mind and it can be just as important as the actual work you're doing.

If you find yourself getting distracted easily, try doing shorter sprints. There's no competition to see who can focus for the longest and you'll only become less productive by pushing yourself past your limits. If you stay disciplined in using this method, you'll be able to focus for longer in the future.

If you follow these five productivity tips, you'll find that you'll get more and more work done over time. Your goals, which at first seemed distant, will soon become within your grasp. All you need to do is get started writing everything down in your planner. Whether you're looking for something simple and functional, or something stylish and fun, you'll find what you want in our range.
