2022 Diaries | How To Keep On Top Of Your Busy Schedule

If you found that the last year was simply all over the place and you’re looking to start 2022 afresh with a little bit of structure and organisation, you will need to get your hands in a 2022 diary planner.

Diaries and planners are great tools to help keep your life organised as they:

  • Keep you accountable
  • Help you remember important dates and events
  • You can get more done when things are planned
  • They help keep you motivated

You won’t want to start the new year without one! Here at Calendar Club, we want you to embrace organisation in 2022, and here are some helpful tips for keeping on top of your busy schedule in the new year.

Find a planner that works for you

There are so many options when it comes to the type of diary you should be using, but at the end of the day, it’s all about what works best for you. Consider your needs, are you a student who has to keep up with assignments? Are you a parent wanting to organise your family’s week, or are you looking for a work diary?

We have a great range of diaries, planners and calendars to help you organise your busy schedule. You can choose from a small diary, a daily diary, work diary, A4 diary and many more!

Create to-do lists

This one is super important to stay organised. To-do lists help you keep on top of all the things you need to get done in a day or a week. Keep a list handy in your diary and separate things into weekly tasks, priority tasks and allocate dates to each item on your list.

Utilise the space provided in your diary to keep to-do lists, that space is there to help you keep track of all the tasks you need to conquer in your busy schedule.

Make time for organisation

You need to make time each year, month, week and day to organise yourself and your diary. Set aside a day at the beginning of the year to add important annual dates and events. Do the same each month to ensure you’re keeping on track.

It’s also important to make time at the beginning of your week, either Sunday night or Monday morning to plan out the days ahead, by adding any important events and due dates you have from your yearly or monthly planning that are coming up. Each morning double check your diary to see what you’ve got on for the day.

This might seem like overkill if you’re not used to using a diary, but it’s the only way to ensure you’re getting the best use from your diary or planner. A busy schedule requires this kind of commitment.

Use a diary with a calendar

Another great tip is to use a diary alongside a calendar. Your calendar should be easy to use and add to. The use of both planning tools is there to help you keep track of your schedule so that you can see the time you have for each task or goal.

Have a place for everything

Use your diary to provide organisation to all aspects of your life. This is the best way to ensure true organisation. Your diary should have a space for work, personal, school and anything else you might need to organise.

Create a section for important events, your goals and any notes. Separating these things can help you maintain the right balance within your life, to help you get things done and to not overwhelm you too much.

Be flexible

Don’t give up if you don’t see immediate results with your diary. The journey to organisation is a long-term one, it’s not a short-term one. It will take you time to find the right methods and rhythm for your life.
